Company History
- 2000:
infotex spun off of Bucheri McCarty & Metz, a regional accounting firm based in Indiana.
- 2002: We became the first Tier 3 sponsor of Purdue University's Center for Education and
Research on Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS).
- 2003: We purchased Paradigm Shift
Security, a Kansas-City based Information Security Firm, and acquired their intellectual capital
related to Intrusion Detection systems.
- 2004:
infotex founded
bleedingsnort.com.
- 2005: We became a
Preferred Service Provider of the Community Bankers Association of Indiana.
In addition, we became one of the first MSSP's to offer an Event Log
Management System called the LogMon Compliance System.
- 2006:
We began offering our Change Detection
service to our MSSP clients.
- 2007:
With the merger [IBA and CBAI],
we became a Preferred Service Provider of the Indiana Bankers Association.
- 2007:
bleedingsnort.com changed to bleedingthreats.net.
Matt
migrated the bleedingsnort concept to
emergingthreats.net.
This snort-signature clearinghouse has become a defacto-standard in
open-source signatures.
- 2008:
infotex began offering Web
Application Security Reviews.
- 2009:
We entered the FFIEC's Vendor Examination Program. We
encourage MSSP clients to order the report from their federal regulators.
- 2010: We became a member of the
Open Web
Application Security Project (OWASP) community. In addition,
infotex
created Vigilize and established a social
media presence.
- 2011: We created one
of the first Wireless Banking risk assessments long before the June 2011
Supplement to the 2005 FFIEC Authentication Guidance.
- 2011: We released our
new ELM Visualization Interface that allows Clients to view event logs
graphically.
