infotex acquires Paradigm Shift Security!
Infotex, Inc., which provides Information Security Consulting and Information Architecture services to area businesses, has announced its recent acquisition of Paradigm Shift Security, an Information Security firm based in Kansas City, Missouri.  “This merger brings an established, respected name to Infotex and is part of our strategy to continue our growing presence in the Information Security field,” says Dan Hadaway, President of Infotex.  “This acquisition is an excellent win-win-win deal for our clients, Paradigm Shift Security, and of course Infotex.  It deepens our Information Assurance and Security focus, right when HIPAA is being finalized".

According to Hadaway, the acquisition was negotiated primarily to insure “access to CISSP designated consultants.”  The designation, governed by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, “is critical to the service we provide our banking and healthcare clients.” 

Paradigm Shift Security will be absorbed into Infotex.  “Matthew Jonkman, CISSP, the previous owner of Paradigm Shift Security, is the primary consultant who has developed many products and services we already offer to our clients,” says Hadaway.  “Besides the Intellectual Capital and Product Designs, Matt brings with him many associate relationships with CISSPs and other security consulting professionals.” 

“We’ve been looking to strengthen our consulting position in Indiana for some time,” stated Jonkman. 

“This move seems to make the most sense.  Infotex’s resources and management strengths only fortify our Managed Intrusion Detection, Information Security Assessment, and General Security Consulting services.” 

Infotex now offers services to Kansas, Missouri, and Indiana clients.  “The nice thing about Information Security is that it really has no boundaries,” says Jonkman.  “We can conduct our assessments and tests from anywhere in the world.”
