Kokomo Firms Undergo E-Smart Security Training
Chad Miller, CPA of Bucheri McCarty & Metz LLP and Jerald Greentree, CPA and Information Systems Consultant of infotex, which is an affiliate of Bucheri McCarty & Metz, have recently undergone intensive training by eSmart^®.  eSmart^® is a network security firm that works closely with the Indiana CPA Society.  “I believe it is important for our firm to have a strong understanding of the integrity and security of our clients’ data,” says Chuck Bucheri, managing partner of the accounting firm.” 

The training has qualified the two CPAs to conduct security assessments of  computer networks and information systems.  At this time, many companies are connecting to the Internet with little or no security measures in place. 

Dan Hadaway, COO of infotex, believes this growing need will help set his new company apart from other firms.  “The security assessment process puts the credibility of the CISSP security designation behind our work.”  The CISSP designation is the highest level of security certification currently available.  Though the training does not in itself award this designation, it does allow Bucheri McCarty & Metz and Infotex to utilize eSmart^®’s methodology and staff of CISSP designated security engineers when called upon.
