infotex, an affiliate of Bucheri McCarty & Metz LLP in Kokomo, has announced that it will be holding an Information Security Workshop.  Because of today’s technology, it is even more important now than ever before that businesses secure and protect their information. 

infotex helps their clients improve the value of information.  Once that information has value, it must be protected.  “New Privacy Laws and regulations are throwing a curve at businesses dealing with information,” said Dan Hadaway, COO of infotex.  “Storing and sharing information in a safe, secure environment is even more critical now with the new HIPAA regulations.” 

The Information Security Workshop will focus on several factors dealing with information security, including how information security can be breached, what happens when information is not secure, and the latest news regarding the new HIPAA regulations.  Because businesses are liable for breaches, it is important to understand the implications of electronic data security.
